Yesterday was the third annual Hudson Children's Book Festival in Hudson, NY. This was my second year attending, and once again it was a blast. I always love chatting with readers, parents, teachers and librarians! You can read more about the HCBF in this article in the Daily Mail. I'm quoted!
It's such a treat for me to hang with other authors (pictured here, top to bottom: Kate Messner, Aimee Ferris and Sarah Darer Littman). I also really enjoyed talking to Eric Luper, Amanda Marrone, Mark Shulman, Susanna Reich and Gary Golio, Alison Formento, and Julie Chibbaro, whose new YA book, Deadly, looks absolutely fascinating.
A great day at HCBF--perfect weather (except for a brief rainstorm), big turnout. Even the ten-minute evacuation (smoke in the school kitchen, no big deal!) was a nice chance to chat with people. Can't wait for next year's festival!
